Standards in Practice.
Ebalon Journal operates under the following editorial principles: articles are reviewed by at least one second editor before publication, sources are cited where appropriate, corrections are noted publicly, and writers disclose any commercial relationships that could influence their selection of subject matter.
Publication Classification
Ebalon Journal is an independent editorial publication exploring everyday supplementation habits, nutritional awareness, and active lifestyle choices for men. The publication is not affiliated with any commercial, governmental, or institutional body.
The editorial classification of Ebalon Journal is observational and reportorial. This means the publication documents patterns in published nutritional research and reports on the supplement routines and nutritional habits of active men. It does not issue directives, make individual assessments, or prescribe specific routines for any reader.
All articles published on Ebalon Journal are editorial in nature and reflect the writers’ observations on everyday supplementation habits and nutritional awareness for active men. The content is not intended as professional guidance, nor as guidance for the management of any specific condition. Readers with specific concerns about their daily routines are encouraged to speak with a qualified wellness professional.
The Editorial Review Process
Supplements and nutrients are selected based on the availability of published nutritional literature. Only subjects with documented independent research are considered.
Available published research is reviewed for relevance, study population context, and the scope of documented findings. Sources are noted for citation in the final article.
The writer produces a draft in the appropriate tone register for Ebalon Journal: observational and reportorial, without directive language or unsubstantiated claims.
Every article is reviewed by a second editor before publication. The review checks accuracy of reported research, vocabulary compliance, and editorial tone.
The article is published with appropriate metadata, author attribution, and a publication date. Post-publication corrections are handled with public notation.
Source Verification Standards
Content published by Ebalon Journal is selected based on published nutritional research and reviewed for editorial accuracy by a second editor before publication. The standard for sourcing is as follows:
Primary sources preferred: peer-reviewed nutritional literature, published nutrition journals, and independent research institutions. Secondary sources (review articles, meta-analyses, editorial summaries) are used where primary research is not directly accessible but are distinguished from primary sources in editorial context.
Commercial sources — white papers published by supplement manufacturers, sponsored research, or promotional material — are not used as primary or secondary sources. Where a commercial source is the only available documentation of a specific finding, this limitation is noted in the article.
When the volume of published research on a supplement is limited or inconsistent, this is documented in the editorial coverage. Ebalon Journal does not represent limited research as comprehensive evidence, and it does not omit research that contradicts the dominant narrative in a given supplement category.
Accuracy and Corrections Policy
Ebalon Journal treats accuracy as a core editorial obligation. When an error is identified in a published article — whether by a reader, an external researcher, or internal review — it is assessed according to the following process:
Minor corrections (typographic errors, date errors, formatting issues) are corrected without a public notation. Factual corrections — where a statement of substance in the article is found to be inaccurate or misleading — are corrected with a public correction note appended to the article, noting the original statement, the correction, and the date on which the correction was made.
Where a factual correction materially changes the conclusion of an article, the article is reviewed in full, and if necessary, substantially revised or withdrawn from publication. Withdrawn articles are replaced with a notation explaining that the article has been removed and the reason for withdrawal.
Readers may submit corrections through the contact form on the contact page or directly by email at [email protected]. All correction requests are reviewed within five working days.
Commercial Independence
Ebalon Journal does not accept advertising from supplement manufacturers, distributors, or commercial wellness brands. The editorial selection of subjects and the conclusions drawn in published articles are not influenced by commercial relationships.
Writers contributing to Ebalon Journal are required to disclose, at the time of submission, any current or recent commercial relationship with supplement manufacturers or wellness brands. Articles from writers with undisclosed relationships will be withdrawn upon discovery.
The publication is independently funded. It does not accept affiliate revenue from product links, sponsored content labelled as editorial, or paid inclusion in editorial roundups. Readers can expect that the editorial coverage on Ebalon Journal reflects independent observation, not commercial placement.
